In need of a MAC professional excited about assisting them with an upgrade and standardization of approximately 30 Macintosh computers OS from versions 8.5/9 to X. The position would start by designing the proper implementation plan of a MAC OS X upgrade path. Along with the upgrade, there are multiple network and application configurations, recommendations, and standardization practices that the client is looking for help with implementing and documenting. These practices and performances will need to be presented as examples of previous experience to our customer. The Technical environment includes WIN 2K, XP and MS office products and many design applications on 350 desktops, 30 of which are MAC's. Experience with best practice installation and configuration of OS X and any related service packs or updates. Networking OS X with a Windows Domain/Active Directory Best practice installation and configuration of PhotoShop, InDesign, FreeHand and Illustrator. Access to Microsoft Exchange experience. Good communication and strong documentation skills. The start date is August 4, 2003 with a general time frame of 4-6 weeks to complete. Professionals who have had multiple MAC OS X upgrade experience in a MAC/Windows environment will be given first look.
